As I said in the other thread: PROPOSE the Weapon Balancing changes, dont make them. If it has to wait until Uprising 1.3 then by god do it, but dont release those changes without our initial feedback. You will be repeating the same mistake youve made every time by making unnecessary or over-the-top changes that will have to be corrected again later on. |

How is the new bullet falloff? Is the range limit just removed, or how does it work? I would explain but I haven't seen a detailed peep yet other than a new system is coming in. Also that stunt Regyum pulled off just is one such example of scaring a developer away from the forums.
Such is the nature of the ignorant ones, honestly. If you dont know what youre talking about, its generally best just to not say anything. |

Agreed, however... giving us the information ahead of times allows us to manage expectations. There are a lot of theorycrafters out there who will spreadsheet the weapon changes and a lot of them will be able to point out glaring errors right away. However, just releasing them in 1.2... nobody has any clue what to expect, and then gets frustrated when glaring errors are made that they could have offered feedback on ahead of time. Look at the armor plates drama, we all saw the numbers and immediately knew they would be essentially worthless, and a lot of good discussion came from it.
Still amazes me that we had to find out thriugh a trailer, and then a CPM member, rather than a dev presenting it here on the forums.
Instead we get a half-hearted apology and a promise of more dev blogs that are nevergoing to come.
If Im ever a part of CPM Ill be pushing hardcore for devs to be communicative, to the point id likely get removed for misconduct xD |

I see it more of a quality of life improvement with the guns.
I mean you guys all know about the new bullet falloff and resolving the bullets suddenly disappearing at short ranges thing since fanfest.
There are other goodies for gun toters. Boy I hope there is more than just this BS ^ Well CPM gets to see many things before you guys do hence the whole NDA thing. I see only one thing worth getting numbers early for and that would be the new range system. I wished there was a blog on that alone. UPRISING 1.2 BRINGS ISK TRANSFERS, PLANETARY CONQUEST CHANGES, AND MORE! http://dust514.com/news/blog/2013/05/team-true-grit-for-uprising-1.2So now I will repeat, Boy I hope there is more than just this BS ^ That dev blog is only what team true grit is doing, there are a lot more teams than just that one. So yes, there is more than just that. However, those changes are going to be very welcome IMHO, I'm not unhappy at all about them.
Some people just ignore what the devs say, I figure. |

Crash Monster wrote:LOL @ folks thinking we have to be communicated with. Hahahahaha.
It's a privilege, not a right.
You know that no matter what the numbers are there will be a split opinion with everyone thinking they know best. And, then, as usual, after they come out people will change their tune based on what really happens, and then there will another opinion split with everyone thinking they know best.
It's a complete loser zoo.
That kind of mentality is what Blizzard operates on. Last I checked, Eve Online didnt lose 1,500,000 subscribers this year. |

Been asked by cpm internally to release all stat change prior to them going live. So obviously i support that thread.
Glad were all on the same page. Cheers Laurent, best CPM =) |
